Jérémie Danon

Born in 1994, lives and works in Paris.

The individual, their identity and their place in society are at the core of Jérémie Danon’s work. Using photography, video and painting, the artist chronicles time spent and moments shared with singular individuals. Together they wonder how to talk of themselves to the world. At the crossroads of reality and fiction, Jérémie Danon uses auteur documentary as a form of video that is grounded yet highly plastic. By summing up his observations and questions, his projects present very directly the words and stories he mediates. The resulting forms are not simply documentation, but the transposition, even sublimation, of a shared experience.”

In 2024, he presented his film Ride, co-directed with Kiddy Smile, and the Biennale de Lyon. He also works in close collaboration with Galerie Éric Mouchet, with whom he is presenting his film Naomi at the Loop Art Fair Barcelona.
