Friday 31 May 14h30
Through case studies and the contributions of artists and the structures that accompany them, this session aims to highlight situated and contextual artistic practices with territory as the subject of the artist's explorations, reservoir of materials, techniques and know-how, and subject of works and projects.
How does the form of invitation influence the artist's relationship to territory? What are the specific formats (residencies, territory projects, public commission, project curatorship, etc)?
But also, what is at stake during these processes of creation and production? How is the time of immersion and restitution organized? Is it possible to evoke the idea of the citizen-artist?
With Rémy Héritier and Thomas Delamarre (director of La Maison des Arts George et Claude Pompidou in Cajarc), Feda Wardak and Clément Postec (artistic consultant to Les Ateliers Médicis in Clichy-sous-bois), Jennifer Caubet and Alain Guiraudie (Le Nouveau Printemps), Clara Denidet and Céline Ghisleri (director of Voyons Voir in Aix-en-Provence), Anna Saint-Pierre and Emmanuel Tibloux (creative director, Les Ateliers des Arques), Tony Regazzoni and Félix Morel (coordinator with AFIAC Association Fiacoise d’Initiatives Artistiques Contemporaines).
In partnership with Les Ateliers des Arques.
With the support of air de Midi, Art Contemporain en Occitanie network.
